FAM in the dark over Barca visit

The Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) are not aware that Primera Liga side Barcelona from Spain will play against the national squad in August, as reported by a local daily.

"So far nobody has contacted the FAM with regard to Barcelona coming to Malaysia or playing against the national team," the FAM said in a statement, here, today.

An English daily had today reported that Spanish giants, Barcelona will also play matches against China in Beijing and against Thailand in Bangkok, during their Asian Tour.

The Spanish club's Asian Tour is said to be the club's pre-season tour to prepare for the 2013/2014 Primera Liga season.

The club that parades World Player of the Year, Lionel Messi among others, is currently leading the Primera Liga with 68 points after 25 matches.
