Ogier in control in Mexico

Sebastien Ogier will take a commanding lead into the final day of Rally Guanajuato Mexico after a strong showing on Saturday.
The French Volkswagen driver encountered a closed gate on SS18 but recovered to hold a lead of two minutes, 52 seconds.

Co-driver Julien Ingrassia opened the gate so they could continue and they remain in control after nearest rival Mikko Hirvonen suffered a puncture.

"Maybe somebody didn't want me to win," Ogier said.

"We had to stop the car, get out and open it. Not perfect. Next time perhaps they should remove the gates."

Hirvonen (Citroen) and Thierry Neuville (M-Sport Ford) are the only two drivers within three minutes of Ogier.

Citroen's Dani Sordo and M-Sport Ford's Nasser Al-Attiyah are fourth and fifth respectively.
