The world’s fastest man, Usain ‘Lightning’ Bolt, who is also the brand ambassador of Hublot has a special watch dedicated to him, in honor of his world-record breaking performance at Beijing in 2008. The Swiss watch, aptly named King Power Usain Bolt is a multi-faceted symbol reflecting his sportsmanship and achievers’ spirit. The watch has an anthracite grey transfer on a black background at 9 o’clock in the center of the movement’s permanent small seconds counter, while the center of the permanent chronograph is reminiscent of time which constantly passes, never stopping. The chronograph movement features a central 60-second hand and a 30-minute counter at 3 o’clock. At 6 o’clock, a chronograph is situated and is decorated with a touch of green symbolizing the the colors on the flag of Bolt’s beloved home: Jamaica. A date window is located at 4.30.
The King Power Usain Bolt watch is cast in a 48mm micro-blasted ceramic and is predominantly black, with gold-Bolt’s own color and that of his lucky fetish shoes. 2N gold powder coating is featured on the flange, while the strap is made from exactly the same gold-colored synthetic leather as his shoes. That is integrated with black rubber which happens to be Hublot signature, providing comfort, strength and durability. The watch has a movement of Calibre HUB4100 and will be made in a limited edition of only 250 pieces.
